The Prophecy of Three (from the 'Destiny's Gate' series)

The three moons align, the powerful fail,
The shadows come forward, and darkness prevails,
Beware, lest evil rise too soon,
And seek out the marks of the Eye, Fang and Moon -
Three lost children, chosen by fate.

The ragged army is roused to fight,
Led by a drifter, the greatest of knights,
Prepare for the war that is yet to begin,
It the darkest of hours, kin turn against kin -
In a battle coloured by love and hate.  

Together they travel, but one must die,
Beware of the foe, it sees all from on high,
Alone she continues, the hope of her kin,
But her eyes never turned to the darkness within -
The final daughter, in search of her mate.

The lost kin returns, the parties united
The sunset is red, the enemy sighted,
This final battle must see one fall,
Look to the three who answer the call -
For courage is fear at Destiny's Gate.
